3 Ways to Beat the Winter Blues

Feeling a little down, dull, or depressed since winter rolled around? The winter blues are extremely common, but thankfully there are many ways to improve your mood and prevent seasonal depression. Here we’ll cover 3 simple habits that perk up even the dreariest of winter days!

  1. Move every day.
Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your body and your mood. In winter, when our lives are naturally less active, we may shy away from regular exercise. But, dedicating at least 20-30 minutes of each day to exercise of some kind can help by releasing endorphins and boosting your mood. So, roll out the yoga mat, layer up for a brisk walk, or hit the home gym!

  2. Take on a new ritual.
Having a daily ritual is a simple way to give ourselves structure, purpose, and perspective. Looking forward to a special skin care routine, morning tea and meditation, or evening journaling habit can offer some much-needed reflection and self-care time.

  3. Eat happy.
Believe it or not, what you eat can make a big difference in your mood. Processed foods, refined sugars, alcohol, and other “treats” might makes us happy in a moment but can lead to major mood swings and even depression or brain fog later. Instead, put your Solo Blend to good use with a Winter Wellness Smoothie, full of ingredients that naturally boost mood and keep our emotions balanced:
