Blend Like a Barista: Delicious Coffee Shop Recipes

There’s nothing like sipping a delicious coffee treat made by your favorite barista. But these days, many of us are looking to recreate our go-to coffees in the comfort of our own homes. Thankfully, all you need to make many of your coffee shop favorites is a blender. Try these tempting, simple recipes to blend like a pro!

Coffee Frappuccino

The classic coffee Frappuccino is a must-have coffee shop treat, but you can make it right at home!

  • ½ cup prepared Instant Espresso, completely cooled or chilled
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • ¼ - ½ cup plant-based milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey

Simply blend your ingredients together for 1-2 minutes, or until you have a decadent and smooth frozen treat!

London Fog Latte

The London Fog is a tea-time favorite that’s simple to pull off in style – right at home.

  • 1 cup strong Earl Grey tea (use 1 cup of water and 2 teabags or 2 TSP of loose Earl Grey tea)
  • ½ TSP dried lavender
  • ½ TSP brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup warm milk of choice (almond pairs well)
  • ¼ TBS pure vanilla extract

To make your London Fog, first make your Earl Grey tea. Bring the water to a boil, then steep your tea, lavender, and sugar for 5-10 minutes. Strain the tea, then add it to the blender with the warm milk and vanilla. Blend on high for one minute until the tea becomes light and frothy.

Classic Cappuccino

Just because you don’t have a coffee shop espresso machine at home doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fancy favorites like cappuccinos right at home. All you need is a little improvisation and your Solo Blend!

  • 4 TBS instant espresso
  • 4 TBS sugar
  • 3 TBS hot water
  • 1 cup of milk or plant-based milk
  • Cocoa powder

In your Solo Blend, blend together the coffee, sugar, and water until a light brown creamy mixture forms. Then, transfer 1-2 spoons of the mixture into a mug, and the rest into a small food container to store for later use (this lasts up to one week in the refrigerator).

Next, boil your milk (on the stove is best) and add to your Solo Blend. Blend for one minute or until the milk froths. Pour a small amount of the milk into the mug and stir, dissolving the coffee mixture. Once combined, pour the rest of your milk into the mug and stir completely. Add a spoonful of frothed milk on top and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
