Our four-legged friends love to lap up smoothies, just like us humans! Why not make a little extra next time to share? Smoothies can provide tons of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients for your dog while keeping them cool. Here are a few simple dog-friendly smoothies that will keep both you and your pup healthy and satisfied.
First…a Few Tips
- In most cases, it’s best to strain the smoothie before giving it to your dog.
- Stick to small amounts for your pet as too much smoothie can lead to an upset stomach.
- Freeze smoothie mix into ice cubes for an extra special summertime treat.
- Not all smoothie ingredients are safe for dogs. Avoid avocados, grapes, raisins, nuts, raw green potatoes, tea, coffee, and chocolate.
